Freedom Plea: Recounting the Hardship

At his release request hearing, the former leader had appeared remotely from his cell, depicting prison life as gruelling. He stated to the judge: “I must acknowledge to all the prison staff, showing great humanity, and who helped make this nightmare tolerable – because it is a nightmare.”
